Meet the Live Performers Bringing the Soundtrack to “Unsung Sheroes, Untold Stories: Ryze from the Rubble”
At Metropolitan Congregations United, our work is rooted in faith, justice, and the unbreakable power of community. This year’s Gala — Unsung Sheroes, Untold Stories: Ryze from the Rubble — is a celebration of resilience, rebirth, and the voices that lift us higher. And what better way to tell that story than through the universal language of music?
We are thrilled to announce our three live music guests, each bringing their own soul, sound, and spirit to the evening. From sultry R&B to smooth jazz to uplifting gospel-infused energy, these artists will create a night to remember — one that moves hearts, honors our sheroes, and inspires us all to rise together.
🎸 Rev. Eric Moeller: Faith, Rhythm, and the “All-In” Sound
Bridging the worlds of ministry and music, Rev. Eric Moeller brings heart, rhythm, and purpose to every performance. As the founder of the All-In Music Project, Rev. Moeller uses music to inspire and empower — merging faith-based storytelling with modern sounds that energize the soul.
A longtime pastor, musician, and community leader, Eric’s work centers on unity, justice, and the transformative power of art in healing and hope. Through All-In, he’s built spaces for people to connect across differences, using music as both a ministry and a movement. At the Gala, his performance will remind us that music — like organizing — is a sacred act of collaboration, courage, and care. Learn more about Rev. Moeller here!
🎤 Jzanell: A Voice That Commands the Room
Few performers capture raw emotion and power quite like Jzanell. A dynamic singer, songwriter, and performer, Jzanell is known for her mesmerizing voice and commanding stage presence that effortlessly blends soul, R&B, and contemporary flair.
A lifelong musician, Jzanell gained widespread attention with her acclaimed album Private Thoughts and has shared the stage with icons including Mary J. Blige, Jon B, Chaka Khan, and Kanye West. Beyond her solo career, she is the co-founder of a music management company that represents rising talents such as Kbthesinger and Anthony J., shaping the next generation of soulful storytellers.
At the MCU Gala, Jzanell’s performance will remind us that music has always been a vessel for truth, resilience, and praise — the same spirit that drives our work in faith-based justice and community power. Listen to Jzanell here!
🎷 Readus Miller: The One-Man Band with a Soulful Sound
Bringing his signature smooth jazz sound to the stage, Readus Miller — better known as The Readus Miller Project — delivers a full-band experience through the mastery of his saxophones. From the soprano to the alto to the tenor sax, Readus fills the room with energy, emotion, and warmth.
A seasoned performer with over a decade of professional experience, Readus has graced jazz festivals alongside legends like David Sanborn, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, and Dr. John. His music spans jazz, blues, gospel, and R&B, blending passion with precision in every note.
A natural showman and former stand-up comedian, Readus knows how to bring joy to the stage — creating moments that uplift, inspire, and move. His performance will set the tone for an evening of celebration and connection, reminding us that even in the rubble, beauty and harmony can rise.
