STL Tornado Testimony Video Series
📽️ Share Your Storm Story: MCU Wants to Uplift Your Voice
When the EF-3 tornado tore through St. Louis, it didn’t just damage homes and churches—it shook the very heart of our communities. But even in the midst of loss, we’ve seen powerful moments of love, faith, and resilience rise up.
At Metropolitan Congregations United (MCU), we believe every story matters—especially yours. That’s why we’re inviting congregation members and leaders across the region to record and share short video testimonies. These videos will shine a light on the real-life impact of the storm, and how our faith communities are showing up in response, what support is still needed moving forward, and how faith and service are bringing hope.
✨ Why It Matters
- Inspire others to get involved and give support
- Help MCU and community partners advocate for just recovery policies
- Preserve the memory of how we stood together during crisis
🎬 What We’re Asking
We’re encouraging folks to record a 1–3 minute selfie video using their smartphone. Tell us:
- How the tornado impacted you or your congregation
- What your neighborhood looked like after the storm
- How your church or faith community has stepped up to help
- What message you'd like to share with elected leaders
- How your faith helped you through this experience
You don’t need fancy equipment—just your phone, your voice, and a quiet place to speak from the heart.
📤 How to Submit
Once you’ve recorded your video, submit it one of two ways:
- Email it to: hello@mcustl.com
(If the file is too large, you can upload to Google Drive and email us the link!) - Text it to: (314) 632-6217‬
(You can also send a Google Drive link if needed.)
Need help? Reach out to someone in your congregation or contact MCU. We’re here to guide you through the process.
Let’s document this moment of community power. Let’s show the world how we love, serve, and lead—especially in times of crisis. 🕊️ Together, we rebuild. Together, we rise.
