MCU is bringing reforms to the Missouri Juvenile Justice System, expanding Medicaid, organizing new communities, and expanding voter and Census participation in 2020. In 1993, a group of women organizers and leaders, lead by Gamaliel organizer and co-founder Mary Gonzales, organized the Women’s Weekend. 75 women gathered to build on their National Leadership Training by expanding certain concepts most women find challenging: power, having a self-interest, money, public and private and more.
