Join us to hear about why our faith traditions call us to support our immigrant neighbors and defend all of our civil rights. Listen to local faith and community leaders about their involvement and how you can lend your strength to an organized movement to protect and care for those caught in the sights of this administration.
The event will be live-streamed on Zoom as well as in-person. The link for the Zoom will be in your registration confirmation email.
OUR GOAL
To show organized, interfaith, local opposition to continued funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and to pressure Members of Congress to take a public stand that protects immigrant communities, civil liberties, and due process.
OUR SHARED MESSAGE
- Congress must not treat DHS funding as routine.
- DHS funding must be considered on its own, not hidden inside larger funding packages.
- Violence, family separation, and fear are not policy tools.
- Our communities reject systems that harm children and destabilize neighborhoods.
WHAT WE ARE ASKING
We urge people of faith and goodwill to:
- Contact elected officials and demand an immediate end to ICE and CBP actions that harm families and communities
- Stand publicly through prayer, witness, protest, or accompaniment
- Share this action within congregations, networks, and communities
