Beth Gutzler

Lead Organizer, Environmental Justice

Beth Gutzler is the Lead Environmental Justice Organizer and supports internal operations at MCU. She has a Masters Degree in Business Administration. During her graduate education, she learned about the power of Restorative Practices which ignited her flame to fight for grassroots policy change. Her environmental justice work is a way to put her faith in action as an impacted person living near the Westlake Landfill EPA Superfund site. Grassroots community organizing is a true form of democracy, and she is part of the fight against apathetic voting. Beth is also the founder of the Social Action and Virtue Education Foundation (SAVE Foundation) which exists to empower people to build communities and resolve conflicts by teaching social and emotional education through virtue literacy and restorative practices (RP).

MCU puts faith into action by developing leaders who move their congregations, organizations and communities to change public policy for the common good.
